As the Human Proteome Organization's (HUPO) inaugural president and United States Human Proteome Organization (U.S. HUPO) founder, he advances rigorous biomarker validation and multi-protein panels for clinical use.

  • Bogdan Budnik – Harvard Wyss Institute

    Dr. Bogdan Budnik is a Principal Scientist at Harvard University’s Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering. With over 20 years in mass-spectrometry-based proteomics, he leads the Biomarker and Drug Discovery Laboratory to advance diagnostics and therapeutics. His research integrates ultra-sensitive technologies with multi-omics for biomarker discovery in early disease detection. He chairs the Human Proteome Organization’s (HUPO) Single-Cell Proteomics and Artificial Intelligence initiatives and serves as Biology/Disease-driven Human Proteome Project Chair and Executive Committee member at HUPO.
